Anza-Borrego Desert: Whale West Loop

Length 4.8 mile (loop) - 3 Hour (loop). Easy/Moderate.
Elevation 3010 - 3970 feet

A loop hike following washes up the west side of Whale Mountain.
Most of the hike is easy, with some boulders and shrubs, the biggest obstacle is Agave.

Great views of Pinyon Mountain, Shelter Valley and Borrego Springs.

How to get here:
On the S2 heading south, as soon as you see the Anza Borrego Park sign turn left on the Pinyon Mountain road.
Follow this dirt road straight ahead towards Pinyon Mountain, disregard the N(on) Pinyon Mountain road on the left.
Park roadside at point park, there is a bigger parking a bit further on.
